Working in the design field I have had extensive involvement with a variety of clients in various industries from the boards of directors at Great Bend Regional Hospital to the head chef at Fleurir Hand Grown Chocolates. I have the ability to engage with the key decision makers who are pressed for time and pressured to deliver results.

Throughout my projects I directed multiple teams of outsource providers. I learned how to take direction from clients, provide my own input, listen to peers, and brainstorm new ideas and solutions. These opportunities have increased my ability to provide clear direction and meet deadlines.

Running my own freelance business has forced me to become an incredibly detail oriented person who is aware of deadlines, restrictions, budgets and presentation of work. It is imperative with so many responsibilities that I streamlined my work by developing and following a process.

In both in-house design and freelance situations, assessing a problem (design related or not) and producing creative solutions was a daily occurrence. I gained significant experience analyzing large amounts of data to determine a client's intentions and the best course of action.

As a freelance designer I spend more time creating in-depth presentations to pitch new clients as well as maintaining relationships with previous clients than I do actually designing. My business has grown because of my strong communication skills and my ability to network and build relationships.
